India's G20 presidency is equivalent with the nation's success in space, stated Dr Jitendra Singh

According to Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Space, and Atomic Energy, India's G20 Presidency coincides with the nation's glory in space.

At a time when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has established himself as the tallest leader in the world, the G20 Summit is taking place in India. The Summit is taking place as India's flag is flying over the South Pole of the Moon, the first time a spacecraft has landed there, and the nation's scientific and technological accomplishments, including the trailblazing R&D success story of Covid vaccines, are being praised around the world, the Minister said.

Dr Jitendra Singh stated that in keeping with the spirit of "Vasudeva Kutumbakam," the G20 Summit's theme in New Delhi, the world now recognises PM Modi's slogan of "One Earth, One Family, One Future."

On the eve of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, Dr Jitendra Singh told Doordarshan in an interview that India is prepared to lead the globe in a variety of ways. All the stakeholder nations of the globe will need to come together for any future scientific activity, including in the space sector, he stressed.

Dr Jitendra Singh stressed that India's space programme is now keeping up with the world's top space agencies. He noted that while NASA may have been the first to set foot on the moon, India's Chandrayaan-1 discovered what may have been water molecules there, and that Chandrayaan-3 has now successfully landed on the moon's South Pole for the first time.

According to Dr Jitendra Singh, space applications are used in practically every industry, including the "Svamitva" GPS land-mapping system, the Smart City project, the control of unmanned railway crossings, roads and buildings, telemedicine, and government.

In the words of Dr Jitendra Singh, India has developed world-class disaster response skills over the nine years that PM Modi has been in office, and we are now offering disaster forecasts to our neighbours.
